Pretty Vintage Pillow Peek!

I've been working on a set of lovely vintage style pillows for a bedroom makeover! I thought it would be fun to share a little sneak peek at one of them!

This is the front, featuring a handmade felt flower with two hand-stitched leaves.

This is the back! A little surprise detailing is featured in the "envelope style" closure with 3 brown and white buttons stitched on in a matching pink thread. This pillow would be cute facing either direction!

The fabric and pink felt are by Heather Bailey and she has an adorable blog here.

I can't wait to show you the rest of these pillows, they are sure to make a sweet vintage style bedroom! :)

This is a new custom flower clip I made for a sweet new mom! She is always dressed super cute and I loved her idea for the different fabrics and designs for each layer of this large bloom fabric flower. I can't wait to see her wear it!

Girls Night Mini Flower Clips!

Over the weekend, I was over the moon about an offer to make 20 mini flower clips for a sweet Girl's Night Out at a local church! I made each one lovingly by hand and clipped them to hand-stamped tags with moo cards and pretty colors of baker's twine tied on top. 

Do you ever have a  "Girl's Night Out"? What do you do? :)

Metallic Note Sets!

 I was telling y'all last week about these new note cards I painted with metallic watercolors! They are actually only faintly glittery/shiny to add a little fun to a simple classy card. :) I'm adding these to the "Choose your Own Note Sets" available at Farmer's Market on Saturday! :)

Everyone needs a "glimmer" of joy....why not keep the romantic days of letter writing and sweet "Thank You" notes alive? :)

Mini Flower Clip Trio!

Today I fixed my hair in a "maiden braid" and added a trio of mini flower clips! I love the look of the smaller flowers and I think it would be so so fun to change up the colors and patterns for different days!

Make it Pretty.

Today started off beautifully. I wore my favorite dress with my coral cardigan, I visited happily with my co-workers, I poured myself a delicious cup of coffee.....and then....I spilled it everywhere! It took me forever to clean it up! This is one of those decision moments. What will I do with the rest of my day? Well, I decided to pour another cup of coffee into my pretty mug and find some lovely things to look at and listen to!

I chose to make it pretty!

Fabrics that are Making me Swoon!....(and a little from my heart)

Look at these BEAUTIFUL fabrics by Heather Bailey! My sweet new friend brought them to me to create new vintage style pillows for her bedroom...can't wait to show y'all! :) These fabrics and colors are all of the  inspiration I need! SO PRETTY!

I'm happily working on my lists today for all kinds of things from supplies I need to get, fabric swatches I need to match with paint, sketches I need draw, and even new projects I have in mind for Fall and Winter! 

I can't tell y'all what it feels like to be creating things that will be a part of your homes and lives. I am currently working on a few large paintings that will hang in loving homes, a set of pillows that will reside in a newly re-decorated nest, a custom flower bloom for a beautiful new mom, designs for an awesome studio space for a local photographer taking the next step with her business and more! I feel so blessed and honored to be a part of each of your lives and anyone who is touched by something I've created. It's an unreal feeling.

For me, wings represent freedom. It was when I stopped worrying about what everyone else thought and started to create out of my own heart, story and worship of God that I finally felt free! You can read more about where the name "Specs & Wings" comes from here.
