DIY: Inspiration Board!

I'm SO excited to share my first DIY of the season! If y'all like it, I'll feature more DIY's soon!

This a tutorial for how to make your own Christmas Inspiration Board! You could use it to hold Christmas cards, photos, color combos your love, Bible verses and more! You could put it on your desk at work or your mantle at home! Okay...here goes!

Supplies: VELVET ribbon, rubber stamps, iron, fabric, old frame, tape, clothes pins

To add a design to your velvet ribbon, begin by laying your rubber stamp with the rubber facing up. Then lay your velvet ribbon over it with the velvet facing up. (this only works on velvet ribbon!)

Next, heat up your iron (I used the cotton setting) and set it on top of the ribbon and press for a few seconds. Try not to move around much!

When you lift the iron, there should be an imprint of your stamp on your ribbon! You can add more with other stamps by repeating these steps.

When your ribbon is complete, you can prepare the frame to have the ribbon added.
Frame your piece of fabric in the old frame and secure it with tape. Then cut two strips of your "stamped" ribbon and tape them to the back of the frame.

Now, use your clothes pins to add your favorite images and inspiration!!!

ENJOY! If you do create this, please share a photo or a link!

lots of love! molly

oh SO thankful day!

We had a blast this Thanksgiving! I am pretty sure it's one of my very favorites so far. It included lots of cooking, zuccini sticks, Jeremy's famous chocolate pies, a bit of shopping, our last day of Farmer's Market, video chatting with my sis and bro-in-law, a cd swap, LOTS of fun family time!, decorating trees at both parent's houses, lots of movies, and lots of warm smiles and just being together!

I took a little time over the weekend to list the things I'm thankful for in my journal....God is SO good and He has given me SO much...my cup is over flowing!

I'm OVERJOYED and beyond THANKFUL! How was your Thanksgiving? What are you thankful for?

happy day!

Then Jeremy took me by the most BEAUTIFUL window displays downtown....pure magic!

It was the perfect opportunity to play with my camera and get even MORE excited about Christmas!

Saturday : We had an adventurous time at Farmer's Market and then headed out to Miracle on Tyler Street to help for a while. (If you haven't heard about it, check out http://www.stonegatefellowship.com/ to see how you can get involved!)

Then we got all dressed up (again) and went to a Madrigal Dinner put on by the high school choir and decorated by Jeremy's very talented mom! It was so fun and yummy! Jeremy even bought me some pretty flowers from a "beggar"!

Sunday: Jeremy led worship at another church in town and then we went to finish up at Miracle on Tyler Street. The weekend was wonderful, but we were wiped! We've got to rest up for a fantastic Thanksgiving week ahead!!!

How was your weekend? I'd love to hear all about it!!!

These little trees are so fun to make and I love the way that they are all pointing up! It's like they're celebrating Jesus for coming to earth and in anticipation of Him coming back for us!!!

Modern Thanksgiving Tables!

Can you believe that Thanksgiving is only a few weeks away!?! YAY!

In my excitement, I decided to look for Modern Thanksgiving Table ideas! See anything you love?

I can't get over those white pumpkins! Love it!

Doesn't this look like fun? Outdoors Thanksgiving with a blanket at each chair and pretty paper lanterns...

and a buffet with paper plates and plastic utensils in a vintage suitcase! adorable.

These are simple and glow with perfection!

I really love this! You know my love of vintage book pages, but as placemats?!? Then with a little journal at each place setting...each person could use them as "thankfulness journals" to add to each year!

This is SO pretty and special! i love the writing and personalized linens.

This is too cool....you can easily add photos to your centerpiece to remember family members or special memories during the holidays!

This desert bar is genius! I love the idea of carmel apples for Thanksgiving desert...mmm!

These vases get instant pizazz from a strip of fabric or paper!

This banner has me giddy! I LOVE IT!

I love that they decorated this shelf or mantle under the TV....you know you'll spend more time around it than the table! haha!

Sunflowers are a perfect centerpiece....love em.

This is SO cute and creative! It's a kids table with tee-pees, turkeys, and branches! TOO CUTE!

This is very simple, but so lovely and dreamy.

HAHA!

Ever eat by candlelight?!? That's pretty!

This is a bit over the top, but I couldn't help myself....WOW!

I'm a sucker for these modern pumpkins in a white tray! Very cool.

I hope this has inspired you to get creative with your Thanksgiving table this year! It's such a fun time to be with family and friends and remember how blessed we are!

happy thursday!
