My beautiful and talented friend Ragan Burkley has done a makeover on her blog and it's AMAZING!!!

The snowy weather is bringing back some of my very favorite memories from college! One cold and snowy day in Lubbock a few years ago...Ragan and I decided to skip classes so she could teach me how to make books! She brought over Sugar Brown's chais and we worked on our books in the floor of my apartment. Then we got this crazy idea to build a snow-woman! Since I had no gloves, I put socks on my hands and we went out into the elements to create our masterpiece. She had coffee lid eyes, fork eyelashes, a carrot stick nose, and a paper mouth! Not to mention her lovely stick arms with pink gloves....perhaps I should have given her my "sock gloves" instead! Then we named her "Airplane" after our favorite painting teacher's cat. (haha!)

This is a day I will never forget and I'll probably think of it every time it snows! :)

Stay warm today, be sure to visit Ragan's beautiful blog to get inspired, and go outside and make a snow woman....you'll never forget it!

happy *snow* day!

What a cute story - we're enjoying the snow today too. I couldn't believe it this morning when I went outside and the tiniest, perfect snowflake landed in my daughter's hair. It's one of those memories you want to hold onto, but can't always capture in a picture.

Kerstin, I love yours story about your daughter and the perfect snowflake! Perhaps if a photo couldn't capture that moment...a painting could? You could express a little more about your feelings? :)
happy weekend!
