Emergency Kit DIY (and a giveaway!)

If you're like me, you love little bags. I proudly own the name "bag lady" because of my constant use of little bags! What do I do with these bags? Well, I love to separate items in my purse or luggage or even keep things in my car. I had this fun idea of creating "Emergency Kits" or little bags holding the little things you may need to throw in your purse for any given situation! :) I came up with 3 ideas and some inspiration for what to put in the kits, let's get started!

(Headband & Hair ties/ Ban.do; Earbuds, Photo Album & Lip Gloss/ Urban Outfitter; Tea & Notebooks/ Paper-Source)
"A Bad Day Brightener Kit" would be the perfect thing to throw in your purse when you're feeling a little low. On these kinds of days, sometimes a little sparkle or a fun accessory could perk up your mood. Make yourself a little up of tea or slide on a little lip gloss to feel a bit more fancy! Make sure you have some earbud to play a happy playlist, a few photos of your favorite people and a notebook to fill with positive thoughts!
Throw them in a cute little bag like this one and you're on your way to a better day! You may even find yourself handing this one off to a friend or co-worker who's having a tough time.

(Lara Casey's Make it Happen/ Amazon; Ear buds & Headband/ Ban.do, everything else is available at Target)

"A Road Trip Kit" is great for those spur of the moment day trips when you'll have a little extra time in the car with your girlfriends! I recommend a great read, a deck of cards and some ear buds for entertainment for yourself or passing time with other passengers. Don't forget a snack, some lip balm and a headband in case you need to freshen up with you get to your destination!

This pretty floral bag would be a lovely choice to hold this kit!

(Tag, cards, envelopes, markers, and tape/ Paper-Source; Polka-Dot Stationary/ Kate Spade)

"A Gorilla Art Kit" is for spur of the moment art you want to share! If you want to learn a little more about what Gorilla Art is all about, check out Kerri Smith's post here, basically it's an anonymous work of art that's shared publicly. If you'd like to make someone's day, (whether you know them or not!) Why not leave a little note or drawing on a park bench, bus, in a library book or on an elevator! Be careful not to hurt any public property and have fun encouraging someone! I recommend stationary, colored paper, envelopes, markers, tags and washi tape!
Perhaps a little larger bag like this adorable clutch would work well for this kit!

All of these bags are created by a sweet friend and reader, Regina of Stuff She Sews Etsy Shop!
