DIY Cocoa Station!

Having a little get together on short notice? Here's a quick and simple way to make a dreamy Cocoa Station!

The key is to keep things simple (isn't it always? :), then it looks like something out of a Pottery Barn catalog!

Start with all of the dishes you'll need. Try to match the mugs and plates with the serving pieces or use solid colors to keep a simple color scheme. You'll need mugs, spoons, plates, platters, and 3 jars.

I used these jars and filled each with a fun part of making cocoa! I put little packets of mix in one, marshmallows in another, and mini candy canes in the third. You could even add more jars or bowls if you have other fun stuff on hand!

If you're making a quick trip to the store before hand, make sure to grab a gallon of milk (makes cocoa so much better!), some pretty napkins and some soft cookies from the bakery. These snicker-doodles were a perfect compliment!

To decorate your station, just use a few things you have on hand. I leaned a chalkboard against the wall and hung a little wreath over the front of it. I saw this idea on pinterest to write a little "joy." with chalk inside the wreath, but you could do something cute like "Have a Cup of Cheer"!

If you don't have these items around the house, just get creative! Small bowls or even mugs would make great "jars", a work of art wrapped like a gift would be a cute backdrop, and any kind of dessert would be great!

As long as everyone has something a warm drink and sweet treat, your cocoa bar is sure to be a success!

I set my little station up for some company, but decided it should stay all through the Christmas season! I'm really enjoying it!

Have fun!

Great idea, then compnay doesn't has to ask, "where are you cups, "etc...
