We Heart San Francisco (Day 2: SFMOMA!)

After the Mission District, we went to the SOMA District to the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art!
We looked through lots of artwork and then settled in on the rooftop cafe to relax and talk about our experiences. It was lovely!

Jeremy and I at the rooftop cafe in SFMOMA, the beautiful city behind us!

SUCH a wonderful mocha we shared with a pretty heart on top, in a mug with no handle...mmmm!

Here are a few of our favorites from the museum!

Frida (Frieda) Kahlo, Frieda and Diego Rivera

Jackson Pollock, Guardians of the Secret, 1943

Mark Rothko, No. 14, 1960, 1960; oil on canvas

Robert Rauschenberg, Collection, 1954

Andy Warhol

 Vija Clemins (she drew this!)

Vija Clemins
(she created this globe from scratch! She drew each continent and wrote out each word then colored it exactly like a globe!Amazing.)

Andy Warhol, National Velvet, 1963

Janine Antoni, Lick and Lather, 1993-1994

When we got back to our hotel, we were pretty exhausted but after a little dinner, we felt up to a walk down the street. We went to a little coffee shop and sat outside, enjoying the fresh cool breeze and talking about art, music and our dreams. It was absolutely perfect!

Thanks for letting me share our San Francisco adventures with you!
