Summer Featured Artist: Lyndsay of Pink Coffee Photography!

My dear friend Kate @ The Wild Curl first told me about this awesome photographer! Her authentic style full of life, color, and fun are so appealing! You're gunna love her!
How did you get into photography?
This sounds so cliché, but I’ve always loved pictures. My dad went through a photography phase when I was a kid, and I remember looking at his pictures over and over. I majored in Communication at Jacksonville University but craved a creative outlet, so I decided to get a minor in Photography and fell in love with the art form.
What inspires you?
Artists who dare to push the limits. Tim Walker is one of my absolute favorites!
What’s the funniest thing that has ever happened on a photo shoot?
Earlier this year I stepped in dog poop during an engagement session and had to leave my cute leopard ballet flats on the side of the road!
I love the name “Pink Coffee Photoart”!! How did you come up with it?
Thank you! When I started my company I knew I wouldn’t be Lyndsay Hyatt much longer (we women can sense these things), so I didn’t want to use my name. J I started making lists of words I like and putting them together. As soon as I read “pink coffee” I was hooked on the name. It was perfect: pink is my favorite color, and I love coffee.
How does your faith effect what you do?
My faith affects everything I do! God has blessed me by allowing me to do something I’m passionate about. Colossians 3:23-24 says, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving." I try to remember this verse everyday. Don't get me wrong, I have days when I'm negative and grumpy, but it's always a result of me forgetting how much I have to be grateful for. God is so good. I just want to live my life in a way that makes Him smile and say, “That’s my girl!”

What makes you feel “alive”?!
Working on a photo shoot where I’ve given complete creative control makes me feel invigorated! I always walk away feeling like I can conquer the world. Ha!
Favorite drink:
Vanilla Chai Latte
Favorite music:
I love music! Worship music is my favorite, because it gives me an outlet for praising God. Paul Baloche, Delirious and Phil Wickham are a few of the artsists I'm really enjoying right now. I have to confess that I also like old-school Aerosmith. From one extreme to the other, right?! I always say I don't care for country or rap, but it's ironic. I seem to know the words to every country song that I hear. Ha-Maybe I do like it deep down?! Oh, and I almost forgot-I love anything by the talented Anderson Almeida (my hubby).
Studio musts:
Lots of light. I like being surrounded with unquie goodies from etsy that are fun to look at. Vibrant colors are a must too. My office is hot pink-big surprise!
How could someone contact you for a shoot?
My main website has a contact form: http://www.pinkcoffeephoto.com/ But you can also connect with me and keep up with my latest work through my blog: http://www.pinkcoffeephoto.com/blog
