Ingredients: Mod Podge, vintage book pages, gauche, pastels, acrylic, tattoo inspirations, messy fingers, afternoon sunlight, vanilla dr. pepper, the sounds of Ingrid Michaelson/Creative Thursday podcasts, and my heart...missing my love.
Today I got to come home early and got to PAINT! My friend told me that sailors sometimes get tattoos of swallows because they know when they see these birds, they're getting close to land....close to home.
I wanted to create a painting incorporating a swallow and tattoos to express going home to my true love soon and then marrying him- a forever commitment. I love him so much! I have a little more to do before I finish it, but I just couldn't wait to share it with you!
