In February, I recieved a package with this postcard inside from my amazing friend, Ragan, (of painterlypassion.blogspot.com) who is also an incredible art teacher!
As I pulled postcard after postcard out of the package I was BEYOND THRILLED! Each one had an outrageously beautiful mixed media piece on one side and a note to me on the back...from her very talented art students!!! Here are just a few of them....
Incredible right?!? I cannot get over how amazing each work of art was and all of the encouragement that her students lavished on me! I knew I wanted to do something for them too and that's how this amazing Art-Swap Project was born. I talked it over with Ragan and she said that her kids love my coffee cozies! I went through and found as many as I could to send back to them....here are a few of mine...
It was so fun to pull out coffee cozies from every stage of thier creation and send them to a group of sweet artists to encourage them to keep going with thier art! Every stage of thier artwork is imporant and leads to more and more creativity! I couldn't be more excited to have shared my art with this awesome group of students and to have an original artwork from each of them as well. I MUST find a way to hang them in my studio!
So sorry you had to wait a few days on this post! I hope you had a great weekend! I have lots to share with you this week including a peek at some more items I'm creating for my online shop and a new triptych custom painting!!!
happy tuesday!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH! This is my plan : I am going to wait until I have the box. THEN, show them your blog. THEN, reveal the box of cozies for them! VOILA!
yay! I just can't wait!! Tomorrow should be fun, we are having a pizza party, I am bringing dessert and drinks, and they are painting on the walls inside my supply closet. I hope your cozies arrive and they can be the perfect addition to our day :)
