I hope you guys had an incredible Christmas time! One of my favorite things about Christmas time is decorating. We were a little late getting it all up because of the move...but I love our home this Christmas!

I started a painting too....but more on that soon!

I love celebrating Jesus through art and decorating....it's an awesome time to worship!

does it get any better?!?

hi everyone! I hope you are having the best week of Christmas ever! I've been a bit in and out with my posts because we've been enjoying everything about this season! I hope y'all are too!

I thought I'd share a little more from my Christmas art journal...I'm really glad I decided to make it! I have really loved writing and drawing what God is teaching me right now...

Last night, Jeremy and I made Christmas cookies, wrapped gifts, and watched "While You Were Sleeping" (a holiday favorite of ours!).

....I thought to myself, does it get any better than this?

I've been busy!

Just thought you might like seeing what I've been working on! I love making artwork...I wish I could do it everyday...

i adore Him journal...

This Christmas I really want to create, experience and celebrate Jesus! I don't want the season to go by and my heart to have never been "in it". I started this Christmas "art journal" and I thought I'd share a little bit about it in case you want to make one too!!! 

The cover is made of two canvas boards glued to a piece of fabric and then I sewed folded watercolor paper onto the "spine". It was fun to create a new color scheme (red, brown, blue, and green!) plus lots of fun textures!

I chose to collage my favorite Christmas carol (out of an old hymnal) onto a piece of watercolor paper. Then I "antiqued" the page with coffee, brown ink, and paint and stapled the title of my journal to the edge of the page so that I can still lift it up to read the words! I journaled around the edges and drew on the paper about what it means to "adore" the Lord!

p.s. the move went great and we're settling into our new home!

Christmas concert!

Last night Jeremy and his brother sang in a Christmas concert! It was beautiful. What better way to get into the Christmas spirit?!?

My favorite song of the night was one that I'd never heard before. It has beautiful words! It's called Tomorrow Shall Be My Dancing Day by John Gardner

Yes, we did! It's starting to feel more Christmas-y! We're cleaning, packing, painting and moving this week! I'll try to keep you posted, but i may be in and out this week. Happy monday!

i'm dreaming

of a white Christmas...then I wake up and it's here!!! Beautiful sparkly snow! It feels so Christmasy..I love it!

*sigh*



Here's hoping this weekend keeps us snowed in so we can make more of these....
